Today we review the Arizona water crisis along the Salt River. We head up to Saguaro lake then onto Canyon Lake and the Apache Trail. So what do we need to know about the Arizona water shortage? Well from my take away, it appears a lot of water seems to slip through the cracks and does not get retained. Drought has lead to a decrease in the amount of water available in rivers and reservoirs, which has caused water levels to drop to dangerously low levels during the summer months. Sedona, Arizona is a beautiful city with amazing hikes, food, shopping and architecture. It is a great spot to spend a weekend or longer, especially if you enjoy outdoor adventures. A popular Arizona radio host is urging conservatives in the state to take action against Kari Lake to stop her from sabotaging the Republican Party and further damaging the reputation of the entire state. Now the radio star is K T A R, host Jim Sharp, who pinned an op-ed for the radio station in which he said this. The majority Republican Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, along with Hobbs and Fontez, uh, you know, secretary of State and new governor stopped laughing long ago about lake's copious claims when they were made in court against them. And this week they asked the state's highest court to throw Lake her lawsuit and her lawyers out on their ears. The effect on the public would certainly be more profound if Republicans helped bring focus to Lake's crazy claim that Republicans criminally colluded with Democrats to get Democrats elected. Even then, the effect would be limited. The claim that Republicans conspired against her, which causes the average voter's eyes to roll, makes lakes sien, eyes glaze over like they're in a trance. So the minds of only some persuadable Republicans will be moved. Any monetary penalty the court could hand down would be a Mayor Pittance compared to the Millions Lake has amassed ping poop loads of pre verification to the people. Now, I don't disagree with anything that Mr. Sharpe said there in his analysis. And of course, you know, he goes, is into greater depth. But basically what he's saying is, look, Maricopa County majority Republicans on that board of supervisors, those are the ones that Kerry Lake, as he pointed out, has accused of colluding with Democrats to keep Republicans out of office. Because if there's one thing we know about Republicans, it's that they don't want Republicans in power. Yeah, that that makes zero sense because it's a very stupid thing to say. But that's just one of many conspiracy theories that Carrie Lake has been pedaling. And as he also correctly points out, she, I don't know how much money she has made from this, but we do know that her election loss has raised her profile much higher than a victory would have. I mean, she's out there on the speaking circuit, she got to go to cpac, she's been to other Republican events, she has been the featured individual. She's on TV all the time, not as much as she used to be, but she still occasionally gets a hit or two. So she has become a national figure by losing, but not just by losing, by pedaling these idiotic conspiracy theories that not only damage the reputation of the Arizona electoral process itself, but of Republicans. And that's what Sharp is trying to say. Listen, Republicans, y'all should be the ones off about this. You should be the ones seeking Financial compensation. It shouldn't just be the state wanting to sanction her. It should be her own party. Because every time she goes out there and pedals a new lie or new conspiracy, you all look like idiots because she's one of you. So why are you not standing up for your constituents and saying, okay, listen, we gotta put a stop to this. We've gotta put a stop to the lunacy. Cuz if you don't do that, she is going to continue. If there are no penalties and punishments that are greater than the gains that she is making, then she's not gonna stop. And Republicans in Arizona, y'all are gonna be the ones paying the price.

Compared to a lot of other freeways, Interstate 8 is pretty short, extending only 178 miles into Arizona. Construction began on Interstate 8 in the 1960s, and the freeway was completed in 1978. Most of the freeway travels through the Sonoran Desert and can look pretty empty and barren at times. When it was built, the Interstate largely followed the same path as Highways 80 and 84. Since the freeway traveled largely along the same path as the older highways and the route of the Southern Pacific Railroad, there is a lot of history to be found.
