I decided to put it to the test and see if I could tell which I preferred when they are side by side. Also, aspect ratios for cinema/film in 2017. 1.78:1 (16:9) .... 2.35:1 What's all that about then? Here I briefly cover some of the main aspect ratios film makers choose for film and TV. Dynamic symmetry can be used to induce the satisfying sensation of symmetry in an audience, even when the elements portrayed in the image do not mirror each other. When these dynamic symmetry grids are applied to the different dimensions for frames or canvas sizes, it can help affect the message the image is conveying. The philosopher Immanuel Kant’s dissection of space and time helps us become aware that we might be innately attuned to the relationships between different dimensions of space, That aesthetics is something we know at our very cores.
